FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Why is this system called the GOLD STANDARD?

MADE IN USA ONE, LLC (MIUSA.ONE) is the U.S. GOLD STANDARD in verifying the authenticity and validity of US-made products. The company’s ethos is “TRUST BUT CERTIFY,” and, as such, its drive and focus is to ensure the TRUTH that all “MADE IN USA” or “MADE IN AMERICA” claims are valid. The proprietary Blockchain and AI-based system was developed by Adam Reiser in 2001, who has constantly improved its total efficiency. MIUSA.ONE focuses on authenticating products manufactured in the United States (“MADE IN USA”), distinct from those “MADE IN AMERICA,” which is covered under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) for Canada and Mexico, and the Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) which includes Central and South America.

What is the meaning of your “TRUST BUT CERTIFY”?

Too many companies in the past have used their Country-Of-Origin Labeling (COOL) labels (MADE IN AMERICA, MADE IN USA, etc.) as marketing ploys to get customers to buy their products or appeal to nationalistic tendencies of quality. But in many instances, they were false, leading to consumer fraud, huge fines, or at worst, criminal charges, and closed businesses. Earning a MADE IN USA ONE (MIUSA.ONE) Certification demonstrates that the product and company have been carefully screened to PROVE that what they label as MADE IN USA, PRODUCT OF USA, GROWN IN USA, or SERVICE OF USA is true.

How do you QUALIFY such Certification?

MIUSA.ONE starts with a “KYC” (Know Your Customer) on the company. A careful review of documents uploaded onto its proprietary, AI, blockchain-developed system. That system records and authenticates the company while gathering extensive information instantaneously. That information includes all company or corporate data. Each product is exploded in a sum of all the parts, and then every part of the product is. It analyzes what percentage of each product comes from the US or is imported, and then we weigh it on a percentage of the total and then grade it. Supply chains are analyzed to gather proof of origination through invoices and bills of lading, thus providing COOL labeling. In this case, a Buyer can TRUST the label because it has been CERTIFIED.

How can you say you are the ONLY Verification and Certification Authority?

We are NOT the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), whose responsibilities oversee different aspects of any company. MIUSA.ONE is specifically ONLY focused on MADE IN, and PRODUCT OF USA Certification so that a government agency that adheres to the BUY AMERICAN ACT (BAA), CHIPS ACT, and four Executive Orders signed by both Presidents Trump and Biden (Presidential Executive Orders 13788,13858,13881, and 14005 The Made in USA/America Act). After twenty years of system development, government testing, and commercial utilization, Founder Adam Reiser and MADE IN USA ONE, LLC became a Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE), which is part of the Government’s System for Award Management (SAM) and awarded CAGE CODE: 8JSY1. Any company doing business with, or attempting to do business with, any government agency must have their products or services certified by MIUSA.ONE.

How was this system tested in the past?

At one point, with a rash of “MADE IN USA,” “Made in America,” and other labels attesting to an AMERICAN product, there was a move to verify if they were true or nothing more than a marketing ploy. As such, several companies, including Reiser’s, were raided, their computers taken, and their systems analyzed. Reiser fully complied and came through with a 93% passing grade, failing a 100% rating since new laws had not yet been implemented. That new law was developed from Reiser’s protocols. The findings were the closing of almost all, huge fines… and only Reiser’s being the system that exceeded the testing protocols. In 2023, SAM finally recognized MADE IN USA ONE, LLC and awarded their CAGE Code to validate and certify all vendors looking to do business with the government.

How does a Company start this process, and what does it cost?

The process starts with contacting the company (https://madeinusa.one) and giving basic information downloaded onto the system, such as name, address(es), each product to be certified, designation of responsible individual, licenses, or certifications. Depending upon the size of the company and the number of products, an onsite visit may or may not be required. Site visits and the type and number of product lines will dictate the Initial Fee, and the Total Gross Sales will determine the monthly fee to maintain a certification on each product. That amount is 1% of Gross Sales, so annual sales of $300,000 would be $3,000 or $250 monthly. Sales of $3,000,000,000  would be $2.5 million per month. THESE FEES ARE REIMBURSED TO EACH COMPANY BY THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM) AS BILLED FOR COMPLIANCE (as earned by SAM). In all cases, a monthly update will be analyzed through the MIUSA.ONE system is used to maintain certification for MADE IN USA certification of manufactured and non-food goods. Under USDA Subsidies, Small to Medium Farms could earn a monthly discount rate as high as 90%.

What is the benefit to Customers using the MIUSA.ONE System?

Anyone selling to the US Government must have third-party validation, not “Self-Certification”. Besides earning a truthfully certified Country of Origin Label, each product is given its code for labeling and tracked from origination to final destination. As such, any transportation or deviations can be traced, and companies can know specifically WHO is using their product. As such, they will KNOW who is buying their product, WHERE it is being SOLD and used, and WHEN it was purchased, which are all important in any planning or marketing.

Introduction

In increasingly complex global supply chains and manufacturing practices, transparent and authentic product labeling has never been more critical. Consumers demand clarity on the origins of the products they purchase, particularly when it comes to supporting domestic industries. Made in USA One LLC (MIUSA.One) has been a vanguard in providing this clarity since 2001, certifying products as genuinely Made in the USA One. This whitepaper outlines the evolved certification process that MIUSA One employs, highlighting its meticulous approach to ensuring products meet the stringent criteria necessary to bear the Made in USA ONE Certified Seal.

The Evolving Landscape of Made in USA ONE Certification

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sets forth guidelines that products must adhere to for them to be labeled as Made in USA. Historically, the "all or virtually all" standard has been the benchmark. However, recognizing supply chains' dynamic and global nature, MIUSA.One has transitioned to a more nuanced, percentage-based evaluation process. This evolution reflects a commitment to adaptability, precision, and transparency in the certification process, ensuring it remains relevant and rigorous in today's manufacturing environment.

Certification Process Overview

Step 1: Application and Validation

The process begins with companies seeking certification for their products submitting an application. Validation and KYC (Know Your Customer) checks follow, establishing the foundational credibility and compliance of the applicant companies. This initial step is critical in maintaining the integrity of the certification process and ensuring that only legitimate products and companies proceed.

Step 2: Detailed Product Analysis

A detailed initial audit focuses on each product's "exploded view" analysis. This granular approach assesses every component's origin, manufacturing process, and contribution to the final product. Such detailed scrutiny is pivotal in accurately determining the Made in USA content.

Step 3: Incorporation of Additional Factors

Beyond the physical components, MIUSA.One incorporates the impact of R&D, employment, and overhead costs related to US-based manufacturing. This comprehensive evaluation acknowledges the broader contributions to the American economy and innovation landscape, providing a fuller picture of a product's domestic impact.

Step 4: Calculation of Made in USA Content Percentage

Combining the component analysis with additional economic contributions, a final percentage of Made in USA content is calculated. This percentage is crucial for determining eligibility for the Made in USA Certified Seal, with a buffer of +- 10% to accommodate supply chain variability.

Step 5: Certification and Monitoring

Products meeting the threshold receive the Made in USA One Certified Seal, a mark of distinction that consumers trust. Monthly compliance checks ensure ongoing adherence to the certification standards, reflecting MIUSA.One's commitment to continuous oversight and integrity.
